Fuck Tumblr blogs. If you outsource the entire medium by which you present your photographic material online, you are not serious enough about what you do. This goes for Flickr, too.

The supply-demand curve of photos right now is already at the point of there being WAY too much supply compared to demand. There's no equilibrium at all. This is only made worse by places like Tumblr or Flickr, where people flock together around content in large herds and semi-herds. If you want to make sure you take up as absolutely SMALL a share of the total market as possible, please, keep using those. Be a fly on the wall. Reduce your chance of being seen all you want. On those sites, you're just trying to be an "extra large spec of white" on a huge screen full of white noise.
