Good job taking pictures of people! It's often described as 'getting out of your comfort zone', but once you see how friendly people are when you take their picture it makes it miles easier.
Once you've become comfortable taking pictures of strangers (although I'm assuming some of these are friends/family?), the next step is capturing gestures like >>2712649 and >>2712659 . In my opinion these are by far the best of the set.
If you don't know what I mean by gestures, I'm talking about when someone is doing something of visual interest: lighting a cigarette, leaning against a lamppost - it could even be as subtle as someone looking in the opposite direction of their partner as in your example.

the thing with night is the shit light. thats why you need flash. or neatly lit night spaces, like hospitals, supermarkets, slaughterhouses, labs, parking lots, etc.
ditch this route, itll only do harm to you. search for stories, not people wasting time in a boring night and light.
