I don't understand why you do your best to make the photos look so worn down.

You see clearer photos come out of late 19th century portrait photographers.

I couldent disagree more. I grew up with film and I love the natural grain film gives you. Any time a photographer can capture that and make it look natural. Is a huge win in my book especially for black and white.
