Hey /out/, newfag here. What type of pants would you recommend for hiking in general?
I've been going camping innawoods and for short hikes for a couple of years now, but I always wore my usual, normal jeans that I wear on a day to day basis. However they always felt a bit tight and uncomfortable, particularly when walking uphill. What is it you guys wear and recommend?
Places I normally go to have an average temperature of 10-20C and not too humid, mostly woodsy mountain somewhere in SW Europe. Winter it snows and goes down to anywhere between -5 and 5C

Why would I waste time giving advice to someone who didn't follow advice already posted, you know like don't start threads that already exist?

I checked and didn't see any thread that related to this. Care to link me to it?

Did you seriously just bump a dupe thread because you're too lazy to ctrl-F "pants"?

Theres a whole thread
Shorts

two layers, 1 water shedding hard skin that can be opened up for better ventilation, 2 a wool/technical underlayer.
also for hiking it's better not to restrict the blood flow so get pants with shoulder straps instead of belts.
Have a look at Helikon pants and shorts
