Hey /out/.
Around May this year I will be going to Park City, Utah to build a big ass house for the next two summers. Never been there before.
Where are the best places to go /out/?
>I am willing to travel anywhere within the state
Cathedral Valley, Canyonlands, White Rim, Burr Trail, fuck there's so much /out/ in Utah to list. Zion/Arches/Bryce are disgustingly busy with foreign tourists though. Try to find Everett Ruess' dead body.

Yeah I want to avoid tourists at all costs. Thanks for the info.

You're building a tabernacle, aren't you?

The Uintas are a great place to do that, and they aren't far from Park City.

It's almost all public land so get out there and explore! Lots of climbing, backpacking and canyoneering, paddling and pictograph sightseeing to do. Many things are extremely temperature/season dependent so start doing your research now to determine what you want to accomplish and when is the optimal season. For instance: the Uintas will be under snow until at least late June this year. Southern Utah gets hots as fuck at low elevations so don't plan a trip to Arches in July. Some really cool adventures might be dependent on snowmelt like Dark Canyon and Cedar Mesa canyons. There's so much to explore. I've been in Utah for about 6 years and I've just scratched the surface.
Anyone ever been down Frisco? Would it be worth a 3 hour drive?
Also any neat places in Provo Canyon? I usually just fly fish off the river or hoon my car down Sundance but want to start camping up there.
Here in UT we have plenty of qt asian tourists

What is the main stuff you enjoy doing out?

This. I spent two months in the Wasatch-Uinta Mountain range last summer at a geological field camp. The mountain range is amazing. Also the San Rafael Swell is hot as fuck but is absolutely gorgeous. Watch out for Mountain Lions.
