Just got into fly fishing last year.
What are your go to forums, websites etc?
I've been fly fishing 7 years, I still don't really know of any websites. I have iceshanty for ice fishing and adkforum for local bodies of water. That's it.

I just check a few blogs every now and then. The fiberglass manifesto is definitely my fave.
Regardless, should we make this a /fly/ general? I'm headed to NE Iowa, in the Driftless Region, in exactly one month for some spring fishing and I'm wondering what flies I should bring. Any suggestions? I've mostly done warmwater species so the trout should be fun for me.
I got a fly rod a couple of year ago, and have caught a few fish with it. It can be a lot of fun, challenging to learn, and at times a bit frustrating.
If the place has a lot of trees or the wind is up, I pretty much don't use my fly rod.
I looked for some good site when I started and didn't find much to my liking.

I'd love to have a true /fly/ page
I'm just getting started, only a year in but i have to wait. Heard cold water is much more difficult

That is what I love and made me interested in fly fishing. Its not easy, there is a lot to learn and it is a challenge.

I was supposed to head out there with some buddies this year but I'm actually moving from the Midwest to East TN! As much fun as I'm sure the driftless is, it ain't gonna beat the smokies. Later flatlanders.
I'd be okay with a fly fishing general thread. Scored a $400 reel at Cabela's (Bargain Bay) for $75 a couple years ago. Paired it with one of the Cabela's brand rods for $30 and I can cast that line a good 15 yards no problem. I also live in MI, use dry flies and have had the most fun in my entire life catching slabs on a 1 weight rod/reel.
Parachute Adams.
