Does it being cold or not actually have anything to do with the common cold? I didn't think it did.

>this is feburary somehow
LOL CAPTCHA MADE ME CHOOSE BODIES OF WATER. FUCK OFF GOOTMOOK.

Existing in a colder atmosphere weakens your immune system and increases the odds of you actually getting sick. Of course, if there's no cold or flu virus lurking around your life, you won't get sick just from going into the cold.
But if there is, being cold increases your symptoms because your body's immune system is weaker.
Muh odds. Muh chaos theory. Muh spoopy science.

Where in Canada? Lakes are solid and about 60cm of snow on the ground in New Brunswick.
>>955821
In cold weather people spend more time inside warm houses with other people, increasing the odds of transmitting viruses/bacteria. In addition dry air damages the lining of the throat and sinuses allowing illness to set in more easily, both ice cold air outside, and most types of heat inside, dry the air out.

Onterrible. I have to go up 4 hours north up to Lake Nip to be able to drive muh trucc onto the lake and tow the hut on. No time this year ):
Otherwise, it's just hiking 5 minutes to catch little minnow fuckers in ponds.
>hmm let's see how deep the lake is
>put auger into ice
>before i could even turn it once it just goes right through the ice
Hmm. Otay let's decide to not die today.
Two years ago, lakes were 40cm starting in mid-January which means we could even take those F-250 pooper duties on and use those as heaters. Ah whale...
Post pics pls.

Plenty of snow and ice in North Norway
This was last weekend, Sunny and nice weather
the temp dropped to -25C later though
>>955957
I should clarify it's general exposure that strengthens the immune system over time. Simply being cold/ having lower body or extremity temp obviously doesn't help in and of itself

Man, the geese and other migrating birds have not even left this winter. That has literally never happened here. It is supposed to be -15F and 4 feet of snow here right now. Yet, it was 69F today and I was in a t-shirt and shorts while out working in my garden, preparing for spring.

Yes. I do this to myself all the time. However, I was stating here: >>955825 that if you spend a day out in the cold and there is a particular strain of flu / cold virus going around, you will be more likely to be sick the next day (as is what happened to me yesterday).
Cold showers and braving cold is better over longer durations of time. Then you'll be swimming under ice shelves like that one Norwegian guy who works for Colombia clothing.
Thank you for all these pictures.
