How retarded would I be to buy this tent? I just think spending more than $100 on a tent would be a waste. Anything from Walmart worth getting?

This is the other option. I like it because it is a bit bigger
as long as you don't have to carry it more than 100' it's fine. i have a ridiculous huge 2 room tent that probably weighs 30 lbs that i use for glamping.
My first tent a eureka i still have its 1w years old been around the country uaed everywhere and xosts around 600 dollars.
I still use it but more ofton than not i use a seek outside tipi for lighter weight camping.
Shit tents wear out break and are very heavy. As a starter tent sure but id save up or look at a decent second hand one mate

Why would you need a 4-person tent? If you're married with kids, I understand... but I wouldn't pack a heavy 4-person tent to share with anyone other than my SO. Even then, a 2-person tent is sufficient.
If you're not married with kids, just get a hammock with a rain sleeve. You won't have to worry about ground padding and it's lightweight.
Does anyone have some experience with the naturehike cloud up 2?

I nabbed a 2p "backpacking" tent with a decent vestibule from Walshart. On clearance it ran me all of $35. Ditched the bags, stakes and "accessory" garbage. Works just fine, but I'd like to upgrade after this year.
These make good backpacking tents. They are a bit heavy , but cheap enough you can just leave it when you are done, probs have some hobo find it and make his day.
Rather than buy one though, go down to the nearest homeless center and they give tents away for free.
