What's the best cleaning solution for muh gear? I used pic related for a while, but since Sports Authority is kill, I don't know where to get it. Nikwax can be had at REI, but shit's like $30 for a 30 oz.

Protip. If you drink bleach, it will clean your gear as you sweat it out.

Google is fuckin amazing
purex or tide if i dont give a fuck.
Nikwax if i care(which means i'll also wash it by hand, and probably air dry it) followed by a water repent coating if applicable.
I usually just use a light dish detergent diluted and water.
little bit of woolite... jets on for a cycle... drain, rinse for another cycle. Might need another rinse. Air-dry.
I have tried a lot of different detergents and soaps on my gear. I'd say Atsko is the best of the best, it is mild but good enough for my stinky ass and it is safe for silk and wool. BTW, don't buy Nathan sport wash it is the exact same stuff as Atsko sportwash but you pay more (made by the same company).
Here is the break down of some of the shit I've used.
> Nikwax techwash
Leaves residue a specific residue that doesn't let other DWR coating (namely fluoropolymers) other than their own to stick, but cleans reasonably nice. Expensive!
> Woolite
Leaves lots of residue, eats holes into merino, can destroy DWR coatings.
> Tide,All, gain
Leaves residue, the fragrance stinks
> Charlie's soap, Nellies
Cleans out what Tide, All and Gain leave behind but leaves it's own residue.
> Castle soap like Dr. Bronners
Too mild to clean rain gear and can residue. Requires you to use a acid rinse (diluted vinegar) for best results
Those are not all I have tried but gives you an idea. The Sport wash doesn't leave a smell, no residue and is cheap enough.
