Yes, I use a fisherman whistle.

Some shit they use on big fishing boats.

Its light but LOUD AS FUCK, it can deafen you.

It's very useful, I tuck it in the right strap of my backpack. It's also good when you lose someone on the trail or they lose you. Or to call them without shouting like a retard.

thats a pretty good point.

that being said my day pack has one attached to it that i use for fun when i have a little too much to drink at camp. it really adds a lot of life to my rendition of boys on the docks.
