Are leather + goretex boots like pic related suitable for snowshoeing in very cold conditions?

I'm in Finland for the winter and have so far been fine with "Normal" shoes in the city. I've got 5 days coming up in Lapland where it's currently -10°C (14°F) with lows of -25°C (-13°F) fairly common. I'll be staying in a lodge but snowshoeing during the days.

I'm due for a new pair of leather hiking boots anyway (for Australia) and hoping I can get away with something like pic related - Scarpa Ranger 2 GTX. No thermal lining.

Hahahaha, you will lose your feet. For sure.

Your lodge just might provide you with some decent shoes. I am in Stockholm and got cold feet walking in the city wearing some Meindls that are made for cold. The dude in the shop actually warned me about how warm they were.

Go to local store that offers service in English. Ask the employee what he thinks you should get for your situation. Good outdoor store has experienced personnel that can serve you better than /out/ists that only go out when their internet service is down.

You'll be fine. Just get some quality wool socks. I hiked up a mountain in the snow/ice yesterday in Alaska, 10*F at the base, in leather/gortex UA boots. My feet were never even close to being cold and cold feet are always a problem for me. As long as you are going to be on the move and not staying static for excessively long periods, you'll be fine.

I would wear trail runners even in those conditions.

They look a bit low so you might want to get a pair of gaiters as well so you don't get snow in your boots. Consider buying a size larger so you can fit thick wool socks in them.
