Greetings /out/
I'm planning a trip from Mongolia to Ukraine in June 2017. Would any of you have any recommendations for equipment or care to join? Ill be spending some time in Mongolia then catching a train from Ulan Bator to Kviv. This costs nearly $2k and takes about a month, lots of day stops in Russian cities and villages
Pic related my gear

Judging by the gear you appear to be retarded. Good luck!

What makes you say that?

>Shitty flask
>Shitty nylon bag
>Old fashioned camera(?) box
>Tiny knife in sheath, curved, probably useless
Come on, now.

Adding to this:
Your stuff isn't great quality or useful for your trip, but it is A E S T H E T I C, but that can get you killed.
Ignore the obligatory 4chan vitriol, OP. Sounds like the trip of a lifetime.
But I think I misunderstand you. A train ticket costs $2,000? You won't be doing anything except ride the train?
I like your packing style; I'm going to Bali next week with nothing but a wool blanket, toothbrush, camera satchel and soap.

>Tiny knife in sheath, curved, probably useless
Stop right there, you're insulting one of the best general use knife designs out there.

Lol knife it's a pukkoo, nylon pouch is some 1930s Italian drink bottle which is actually 100% aluminium, including the cap. Don't want plastic and cancer.
Obviously I'll take more clothes but this is just some stuff I had lying around >>923643
It stops nearly every day for quite a few hours in many cities. I'm not that interested in Russia as an aus I can only get a 30 day visa, and I'm meeting a family friend in Ukraine to stay a few weeks in Bulgaria. But it's a far better alternative than flying from Mongolia to China / KL then flying over to mid east before flying to Ukraine for the same price

Don't forget your powdered panadol bro

Then have a good trip anon, I hope you enjoy it and everything goes well.

The Russians will try and kill you in Ukraine

Victoria here, when are you going? I've been to Russia before and speak semi-decent Russian, keen to return.
