Winter boot thread! plz hlp, I need some winter boots that aren't

Are you talking about tall boots like this? I don't really trust this style for walking and snowshoeing. I have horrible memories of wearing Sorels and my socks constantly sliding off because I could never get the boots tight enough.

I'm not that concerned about odor with winter boots as I only wear them a handful of times per year.

If it's really cold, try vapor barrier liners. Basically keeps the sweat in so it doesn't degrade your insulation. Neoprene insulation works on the same principle.
Otherwise... well, I guess some kinds of insulation degrade less and dry fast, but that only goes so far. Shoes for walking through snow really don't breathe well either.

Yeah, my feet are gonna sweat no matter what. It won't really change which boots I get, but advice on keeping my feet warm is very welcome.

I'll look into some liners while i comb through the interwebs looking for boots that don't cost $150.

Good winter boots cost about 150.00 minimum unless they are on clearance. I know from trying extensively to be cheap about it in cold regions, hiking or being exposed for many hours daily and nightly.

If you are in a city or some shit you don't need good boots though anyway.

They make fantastically warm boots. Even the slip on rubbers are rated -40 and keep me toasty as fuck.
