most beach hikers don't go into the dunes so I wouldn't worry.

There's usually a geocache or two nearby. Most beaches, even rural ones, have posted signs pointing you to the nearest cache.

The poop never melts away. It is forever externalized into existence with the grains of sand. The grains of sand know everything there is to know and they've seen everything there is to see here on earth.
