If you are in the USA, try the Peace Corps.
You can live and work in some of the pacific islands for a few years. You don't get paid much, but your living expenses are taken care of while on assignment and you can get connected to the locals if you decide to stay.

I want to live by the ocean and in the mountains where it snows and gets cold but also where it is tropical and humid like a rainforest. Far inland in the frozen plains and in the open sand filled desert. In thick tropical forest and in crisp snow filled boreal forests.

The carpathian mountains, or maybe Austria. I have a gf in america, she wouldn't leave the country. I don't speak Romanian, and I don't know anyone there. I might get a house in eastern europe one day and vacation there. Stateside I'd like to move to Colorado, Idaho, or Montana.

Farmers in my area employ loads of Filipinos to work on the cow farms as they literally cannot get Kiwis to work. the work is shit, the hours are shit, and you wont be living near anything interesting, but you will be in Bumfuck nowhere. If you manage to get time off its only a few hours drive to the good bits.

Also I want to get my degree and have a fulfilling career making nature documentaries. Right now I work for a rock climbing company in Vermont that's teaching me how to guide while I attend film school and chase internships. Life is pretty good right now so hopefully if I'm able to go abroad next year I can pick a place that interests me, who knows what then?

Ideal environment: Somewhere like New Caledonia or the Azores, or my favorite part of Costa Rica in the Carribean region which was incredible. I love those semi-tropical ecosystems with the crystal blue water and coastal pine forests, something with enough land for some agriculture.

I'd be down for NZ North Island but they have active Volcanoes and I'm not down for that ring of fire shit.

I'd just be spending my time cutting second growth forests and planting exotic trees and palms for forest gardening and I'd make a living selling to restaurants.

Nothing hopefully, waiting to hear back on a chance to go and do ecological monitoring for the Haida which as it's been described to me seems to be just solo camping with a notebook and nature autism to alert them of any changes in the forest. Specifically things like blight and invasive species.
