Why do people buy tents when it is so much more comfy to sleep in the back of your SUV?
>>
>>914639
Because not everyone camps on the side of the damn road. Sometimes you gotta hike places, and an SUV is a helluva thing to tote up a mountain, I can tell you that.
>>
>>914641
some of the newer ones actually have powered wheels on them now for hill assist. some elitists say they don't need wheels to haul their SUVs up hills but they're behind the times
>>
>>914639
Because Im not a tiny person and fuck having to sleep in the fetal position .

Because I'm over 6ft tall and, as much as I love my ole XJ, I don't fit in there in a very "comfy" way. I've done it a couple of times, but only really when I needed to/was too lazy to pitch a tent or set up tarp/hammock.

>on my way out west
>driving through Missouri
>severe thunderstorm warnings
>tornado watch
>lel that is some windy shit, m8
>only thing I had in the way back were some footlockers full of gear
>supposed to be sleeping in Mark Twain national forest for the night
>get to a good spot
>run out inna storm
>stack em the 4 footlockers on one side of the Jeep making a wall up to the hatch door on the back on one side where the majority of the wind is coming from
>set my Bluetooth speaker up front
>light a ciggy
>listen to "Wait wait, Don't tell me!" All night while the storm rolls through
The next morning it was still pouring so I just packed up my trunks and made my way to Texas.

All in all, it was still pretty damn cozy, OP. Maybe I just defeated my own point...
>>
>>914639
Why do people go outside when it's so much more comfy to stay in your nice warm bed at home?
>>
>>914674
because masochism is fun.
>>
used to have a single cab dodge 3/4 ton and had ALOT of room in the back made up a platform and set a mattress in there it was awesome.
know i hve an outback and works pretty good i get alot more exploring in with it since its not broke all the time
>>
>>914669
wtf are foot lockers
>>
>>914681
AKA a trunk. They're called foot lockers because they're often kept at the foot of the bed.

I'm 6'5. The back of the SUV is NOT comfy.

Now getting into a tent on a cold night with a nice warm cozy sleeping bag and soothing sound of the tent floor crinkling as you get into a comfy position is comfy
>>
>>914639
Why would people but an SUV when they could just slide a full cabover camper in the back of a pickup?
>>
>>914639
I did that last time I went """camping""". I brought a tent and everything, and as I was watching everybody else set up their tents I pulled my shit out of the back of the Explorer and realized how much more comfy that looked compared to the ground. Just cracked the windows a bit and it wasn't bad at all.

>>914659
Depends what you drive. With the seats folded down flat, it was like the size of a full size bed in there. I'm not even close to manlet size and I had tons of room.

Yea, thank you >>914683, they look like pic related, though I only have one nice pelican one. They're just big ole trunks that lock and are waterproof. I work at a scout ranch all summer where my housing is a platform and canvas tent with some cots, so they're great for holding gear, bedside table, etc. and you can put them on a basket on top of your vehicle when traveling and don't have to worry about anything getting harmed by the weather.

California is one of the 10/10 /out/ states, anon
>>
>>914891
>anon doesn't understand how any of this works
You can't access any of that info unless you are a cop on duty or some shit and misuse of any of that is just asking to get shitcanned from your job.

Go for it. Try and google it. Even websites that want you to pay. You aren't going to find shit about the owner of the car without talking to somebody in LE.
>>
>>914898
I can get name, age, current residence and history, priors, credit score, current employment and history, phone number, utility records, passport photo, travel history, magazine subscriptions, email accounts, the list goes on. ...longer than you can imagine.

Cover your turds in the samdbox, kiddos.

+1

If you really wanted to find out info from a plate, you would be much better following them home and just grabbing a piece of mail from their mailbox. Then take that and go play Mr. Anonymous
>>
>>914641
This really, and I prefer the back of my SUV myself.

Hello my friend I live in Mylor, South Australia. My postcode is 5154. My name is Michael Williams and my phone number is 0448635814. I've never had a credit card, work at Cafe Assiette in Hahndorf SA, not subscribed to magazines. There is no downside to people knowing this info.
>>
>>915404
>work at Cafe Ass

What's the special?
>>
>>915404
I genuinely don't understand why people are so freaked out with this stuff. You have no reason to "track" me or "find" me. I have nothing of value to you and mean nothing more to you than any random person on the street.
It's not like I'm giving out my credit card info.
>>
>>915405
At the moment we have this pretty shit Oxtail soup going. Not sure why. It's kinda a gristly mess.

How much internal hatred of your self must one have to post such literal shit?

I haven't posted in months and your post was so self deprecating that I could not refuse replying to such a piece of shit
