>tfw Nebraska
>landscape is completely flat for hundreds and hundreds of miles, the most varied terrain lies in the Sandhills or in the far west
>a few state parks and recreation areas, mostly just small forests with shitty lakes
>tfw I can't just go get lost in a giant forest or wilderness
Anybody else know this feel?

I have never lived anywhere with mountains or good terrain so I feel ya. Colorado is my favorite place to vacation to since you can actually go there and do shit instead of just shopping and sitting on a beach.
At least I got out of IL I'm a stone's throw from the Atlantic Ocean and it is warm enough to enjoy the /out/doors all year.
Then move. I moved from Virginia to Utah a few years back. It's a cultural wasteland but damn is it pretty. Pic related: it's Interstate 70.

If you pay the democrats the proper fees and taxes and do all the paperwork correctly and then wait 90 days for the background check... yes.
