I live in Rome so you either get stray cats or sewer rats big as cats, and I'm not making the size up. There was this one time where the rat even scared the fuck out of a cat.
I live in a small town overrun with these critters

she's my hero ;_;
I have a pair of mating pigeons that have been living together in the horse chestnut tree in my garden for years now.
It'll feel lonely when they're gone.
the illustrious sydney bin chicken
>tfw almost no wildlife at all here
I would kill to get rid of all the muscovy ducks. They are ugly as shit compared to the mallards we had up north. At least I don't have to deal with Canadian geese down here.
Pic related is the stray cat that has basically become our outdoor cat since we moved into this house a month ago. Got it a little home so it doesn't have to sleep in the car. It was afraid to go in for the first week or two but now it's always sleeping in there.

Another interesting thing I've noticed after moving from just outside Chicago to South Florida-
I don't think I have seen an opossum here, and I'm fine with that since they are cunts. But there are fewer raccoons and squirrels and the ones here are much skinnier than in IL. I'm guessing the heat keeps their metabolism up. The raccons in IL were much more used to people as well and when you found them digging in your trash they would hiss at you or mind their business. The coons here are much more timid, even in urban and suburban areas.
Haven't seen a deer except for the Key Deer on Deer Key. And haven't noticed any coyotes yet here, but in IL I didn't have them in my neighborhood but friends that lived near forest preserves and stuff you would hear them all the time.
These fuckers. It seems they are active year round because I've found them alive in the Louisiana winter, even when it drops down to
30F at night.
Why, why did I have to get stationed down here?
Saw about 15-18 of these today.
I literally love them!

Not just Sydney mate. Fuck those things, seriously. Seen them steal food literally out of people's hands before in Brisbane.
These guys. They're one of the few birds that I can recognize by their calls. They usually dgaf about you as long as you keep still, and they're very curious. They're also a good "heads up" when something else is moving around in the woods.
