Hey guys regular sc/out/ here asking for some advice.
So I will do this day hike that is 18km (~11mi) long, no problem here since I'm pretty used to 40+km hikes, the problem begins because I want to do it with some leather working boots that are prone to fuck my feet every time I wear them for long hours.
How do I make it work so I can have an enjoyable hike?
>Inb4 do not wear your boots
Out of question, I want the additional weight and roughness.
do not wear your boots

>I want the additional weight and roughness
>I don't want it to hurt
I don't even.
>Insisting on wearing painful boots
Sock liners, foot powder, prophylactic moleskin, extra socks, trimmed toenails, tolerance for pain.

Nah use Leuko p tape, also you're an idiot. If 1lb on the foot is equivalent to 5lb on your torso think about what your 2-3lb each retardo boots have done to your baseweight. Everything else that other anon said is good, bring extra socks and keep your feet dry. Maybe get some foot balm as well.

Buy a decent pair of heavy boots instead of the ill fitting shit you went with.

Also break them in with a lot of short hikes before you go on a long ass hike in them
