Is snowmobiling /out/ worthy? With winter fast approaching I hope to be on the sleds by December. I'm in Northern Ontario and the lakes usually freeze safe by the middle of January.
Do you sled? What kind of sleds, where do you like to go, trail riding or bush wacking?

How wouldn't it be out? Tug Hill Ny here. Got some new gear a few weeks ago at the show and I'm officially hyped for the snow to fly. As for what I ride I have a '04 f6 sno pro and a '15 switchback. Usually have 5-6 people in our group that all ride together around the hill, shits so fun. Pic related is the trailer I picked up this summer incase we get fucked like last winter

>Do you sled?
A little.
>What kind of sleds
On a '16 Assault 800 this year. Mostly-stock - some clutch work (primary cover/setup, team-tied secondary), rails, couple little things i've done. Keeps me in improved-stock class on the hillcross track, I don't have the bank account to run with mod guys.
Added a snowbike to the fleet this year, I'll probably get a bunch of time on that. '16 YZF450X, YetiMX 120.
>where do you like to go, trail riding or bush wacking?
Mountains, backcountry. I try to avoid trails.
Ride all over the Rockies - last 5 years I've had CO/WY/MT/ID stickers on my sled. Been chasing UT for a while.
Looks like I'll be in ND for an event early December, and instructor training in California in January.
I'm kind of over the show season right now, couple more sponsor/dealer events coming up (at least those are easy), but i'm ready to get on the snow.
I took this on my sled a couple winters go. Forget the bush, I love going on long trips across the lakes and ponds. I like being out in the open going fast, trails are babby tier

Is Tug Hill part of the Adirondacks? I'm headed to the central region in two weeks, love it there.

No, not technically. Tug hill is directly east of Lake Ontario where as the adirondak region is farther east and little more north.
The season up here is almost started too. Woke up to a 1/10 of an inch on the grass. Just need that cold blast of air to bring it down another 10 degrees and it will start pilling up
