So guys, if this whole Russia vs the West thing boils over into conflict, and/or if the predictions of a second 'little iceage' in 2019ish occur, whatcha gon do? Would going /out/ even be preferable in either of those situations?
Depends what sort of situation it is. Total war? Probably go out, most people will still be in the cities. If it's nuclear conflict there's little I can do anyway so I might as well get comfy.
Total war, I'll probably die (in the military), mini ice age, Cairns where I live will probably be a nice temperature

2nd? We've had multiple ages in the last 300 yrs alone. Nothing special.
Nuclear winter doesn't real.
But yeah, there's a reason people live in houses, and it isn't because living in the woods is a good idea.
I have a Ti spork, so I'm good.
Seriously, come at me Ivan!

I was more meaning if it/people managed to cause widespread famine like last time, tradeoff of safety from people and food if you can hunt/fish vs warmth and the benifits of society

Grow up, autist.
My dad's bees all died off, feels bad man.
Still have that vegetable patch in the back yard though.
At any rate, no matter how much famine and poverty there is, upper middle class techies like myself can afford to eat. I may pay ten times as much for it, but I'll eat.
