First time at /out/, and haven't been hiking or doing anything related for the last 2-3 years.

But I am now in need of a pair of trousers. What's your thought on Fjällrävens Keb Trousers (pic related)?

They will mostly be used for fishing trips, weekends in the autumn and spring forest (pretty activly, not just walking), etc.

sorry OP this is not against you

but why the fuck do people have so much difficulty with pants? i swear there are 3 new pants threads a day.
>>
Very good trousers but totally overpriced.

lol.
No I hear you that's probably true, every board has their typical "which should I buy", "how should I lift"..
It might be because most people will have a bunch of different jackets and shirts already, pants like these aren't really needed or wanted in everyday-life by most people

fair enough--

ok what is the weather like where you will be fishing (ie rainy place? is it rocky? densely forested? large dynamic between morning/afternoon temps?)
>>

Won't be needed much in the rain, though it if starts to rain during a hike I won't hide under the terp all day..
Live in Sweden (read: Stockholm) and the temps today have ranged between 3 and 11 degrees Celsius

I did some research on them and I found that many had problems with the seams in the crotch going up. And if I'm going to pay this price for a pair of pants, I expect them to last

check out the Patagonia guide-water ii.

Own them since this summer, they're heavy but very comfortable, very nice to vent, the pockets are perfectly placed, the adjustable leg ends and the little hook are perfect for anything steeper. they feel a lot sturdier and heavy duty than any other comparable soft-shell mountaineering pant with the same moveability.

Those pants look even more like a meme on a real person
