Yes anon, I will be there. Meet me by this fireplace and bring some beers or whiskey. We can share stories, sing campfire songs and hold hands.

Well I'm from Ophir, smack in the middle of the uwharries. Iiving in Raleigh now.
Don't think I can do Wednesday, and the weekend seems to be a washout with that storm rolling in.
Hit up my junk email up top, maybe we can arrange something sometime. Been looking for a hiking/ camp friend.

dammit I know the road name, but I can't recall it.
Pretty sure its the one above jumping off rock, maybe Church-something.
You can park where the stream crosses the road, or go up a ways to the game-land entrance and head straight for the main mines. Taking the stream entrance lets you see some vertical shafts, most of them are collapsed.
They have welded cages over all the main shafts though, so you can no longer get in...there is the one vertical/horizontal shaft that you can climb down into still open, they just covered it with logs and rocks.
