Just moved to Boise 2 months ago. Went camping with some buddies who visited up in Boise National Forest over the long weekend, was the first time I've seen the Milky Way. Fuckin gorgeous, but got down to 30 on us at night. Forgot how much land 208 covers hah, we're on opposite ends of the state.

I just did an overnight at an alpine lake here in the Selkirks and Monday had a phenomenal day hike in the Cabinets which led to the wife and I planning a loop trip.

We were down there in the Sawtooths near Stanley last year and did the Toxaway-Alice Lake loop, that was stellar.

Seeing the stars at night keeps me awake when /out/. Breathtaking. Anyway, welcome to the state...make sure to try out snowshoeing or skiing if you're able to this winter.

Thanks man, I'm pumped to be here. Definitely gonna try out snowshoeing. I have kinda crazy feet, and last time I went skiing, my feet swelled up in the boot and I only lasted like 1.5 hours until the pain was unbearable. Probably will need decent ski boots, but they can be $$ I've heard. Snowshoeing seems more my thing anyways. It seems pretty awesome here though, I'm still exploring and getting used to the area. Anything is better than living in the Atlanta (Georgia) area in my opinion though.

And yea, my buddies and I were awake probably 2 hours later than we meant to be because the sky was so clear and the stars were just outrageous. Pretty awesome.
