Guy has been sharpening, re profiling and all sorts of shit to knifes for ever. If he is skilled at what he does, why would he go with a sander?
>>847617
>this bleeding... is inevitable
damn, this dude is hard as fuck
>>847617
>deliberately pricking your fingers to get blood
thats one bushcraft tip ive never heard
>>847865
You do know it's from the stone? It's like 120 grit, that shit can easily tear away at your fingers. Same when you file the wet stone to flatten it out again, not rare for your fingers to get cut up from that too.
>>847871
well it looked like small neat cuts rather than abrasion. Ive done ALOT of knife sharpening (butcher) and never come close to wearing through my fingertips. Anythings possible though so each to thier own lol
>Not using a strop

>>847871
I understand that you can get cut but holy shit put some gloves on or something don't keep sharpening until your stone is awash in blood

Found this guy a few weeks ago and came to check if this board knows of him.
Good taste /out/.
This guy is both a badass and probably insane,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7agPHV3P1tM skip to around 5:30, he wants to keep cutting the wood after hurting himself. But the sharpening he does makes me envious of his skill/equipment
>>850324
>his hands are more steady than his helper
what a fucking savage
>>847617
>My sharpening teacher taught me that this bleeding is necessary to make the keenest edge.
The absolute madman.
This is basically the edgelord version of sharpening.
"I've bleed from my tools. That's shows my effort!"
Congrats, you've coated the blade in a slew of chemicals that will help it deteriorate and rust faster. Nice job.
Any more videos or channels from Japanese outdoorsmen? I'm curious now.
>>853885
There are dozens of videos. Go look up virtuovice on youtube, that's his channel.

Shut up nigger. It's not rare to cut your hands up when you use really course stones. It's obvious you don't know what the fuck you're talking.
Now go ahead and be the faggot you are and try to argue, cause I know now that you're just talking out your ass. Autistic faggot.
