i love early spring. get to thaw out from winter. just the relief of getting to the end of winter makes rain and mud no big deal. no bugs. cool but not too cold temps. after a long cold winter anything above freezing is warm. i cant stand hot weather so this is perfect. my absolute favorite time of year is fall. september is just about perfect. again not too many bugs. for the most part summer people/tourists have left. temps are perfect. dry weather. sunshine some clouds. september really is the best month of the year in maine.
