went innawoods only to discover there are absolutely 0 mushrooms at the usual spots where I harvested around 5kg last year in just 3 days. Calmed myself down with a nice view and watched the traffic down in the valley.
Also gonna go try for some new boots besides my Alpine ones that are too stiff for everyday stuff and treks.

I had a couple friends over for a campout in the back acres. It's only like a 10min walk from the house so I had us setup pretty good with food and even blew off a leftover firework for yucks. Somehow the firework photo got fucked and out of focus so a cool shot was ruined. Then my friend read some creepypasta for kicks and eventually we turned-in. Two hammockers and one groundpeasant. Was fun stuff.

A friend/coworker's family owns a bit of forested land. The spot we camp at is about a mile into the woods. Has a little shack to keep wood dry, and a permanent fire pit.

It's the best of both worlds for backpacking/camping. Tons of trails to explore, have to gather fire wood each time, have to pack in and pack out trash, and pack with the short hike in mind.

It's the perfect spot for a short notice over nighter that doesn't feel as shitty as car camping.

That and it's fun to tell our coworkers we spent the weekend grabbing each other's asses in the woods.
