is /out/ angry at all the normies exploring right now?

I've literally never seen this many humans outside than childhood Halloweens. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, the amount of people I see skating, driving slow, and just generally droning around town on their phones with Pokemon Go open.

So are you upset that these normies are ruining your expeditions?

Nope. Give it a week or two and everyone will be burned out with it.
>>
>>812729
walking around the suburb with your phone isn't really /out/ is it? I don't think it works out innawoods, but I could be wrong
>>
>>812733
The normies will go to parks, like i did today, and see the enormous amounts of Growlithes, then they will come for your woods. Normies with phones, droning about through trees, littering your woods and filling the air with vape smoke. This is the end for /out/ists.
>>
>>812734
Normies, in MY woods? If you don't have sattelite service no pokemons
>>
I'm at 155 now.

camping incense like a fag whenever I'm not walking around.
>>
I will pepper spray the first faggot I qee doing this. All without any anger in the slightest.

So no, no anger.
>>
>>812744
If I were the victim I'd think you were mad. If I we're a normie I'd also believe that you just weren't a cool 90s kid nerd who could name all 150 pokemon, so you were taking out your aggression for the lack of attention to gens past the first.
Cool nerds like Gen 1 and play pokemon go.
Weirdos know the new pokemon and play the 3ds games... Eww.
>>
>>812729
I don't know what this Pokemon Go is but yes, hiking during the summer near a major city (even 1-3 hours away) is like standing in line at Disneyland.
>>
>>812729
>is /out/ angry at all the normies exploring right now?
Why should I be? Going /out/ is good for everyone
Do you think the outdoors is your secret clubhouse?
Besides, they are not going very far.
A day's walk from the trailhead leaves most people behind
>>
>>812747
They made AR pokemon catching a reality and not Gen 1 90's kid normies are coming out of the wood-works, quite literally.
>>
>>812746
151 scrub
>>
>>812744
That'll show how much bigger and stronger you are! Let's see dad try to hit you now
>>
>>812729
No reception where I like to go.
It also takes a tent past the first day.
That would be a 30-40km day in most cases, so normies wouldn't even get there by the time I am out of their 5km hiking range.
>>
Ingress > Pokemon Go
>>
The game doesn't really work outside of areas with lots of smartphone traffic so unless you go /out/ in the middle of the city you aren't going to meet any of these people
>>
>normies
>Pokémon
Wait what?
>>
>>812729
Pokemon Go literally brought normies and filthy casuals into Pokemon AND exploring outdoors. It's disgusting because the game is not good in the slightest
>>
KEK

I went out playing Ingress in an open space near me tonight and all of the Pokemon players were out. I asked a bit about it, installed it just to see, and found out that all of the Ingress portals are are used for Pokemon stuff.

This means that there actually are going to be some serious /out/ class Pokemon Go stuff, and I know where all of the remote stuff is because of Ingress. There is some Class III nearing Class IV trails that you have to take for some of the portals. I could so completely fucking dominate that game.
>>
>>813083
>remote stuff
>Ingress

>>
>>812750
This. If you're worried about "normies invading my woods" you just aren't far enough /out/. A kid playing pokemon is not going to go so far innawoods that they can't be back home before it gets too dark. I know a lot of people in the demographic, and from what I see, they are more likely to hang out in parks or only a short hike innawoods.

Trust me, there are portals that require a couple of hours of driving, then a couple of hours of hiking, then you need a cellphone booster. There is a portal on the top of pic related.
>>
>>813108
>couple of hours of hiking
>remote
It's like you aren't even trying
>>
it will soon be taken over by douches with too much time and the stupidity to waste money to have more imaginary power than children in the game

(I'm kind of hoping they add some kind of social networking so it can be taken over by sexual predators)

once it is cold enough to pass the need-a-coat point, it will be far less appealing
>>
>>812729
Implying anywhere I go theres a drawn sidewalk or road?

>calling people normies
>being super normie if he sees people playing pokemon in his /out/ spots.
>>
I've been /out/ all my life but the childhood nostalgia Pokemon brings might be enough to finally make me buy a smartphone so I can play this.
>>
>>813108
the only thing thatd be worth going that distance for would be a gym.

pokestops are a fucking joke.

ingress points are used for both, and the latter is more common.
>>
I wholeheartedly approve of more humans coming into my forest.

Good try bear. Hopefully they don't know to body slam you.

>>813198
ughh, I did not get that as first
>>
>>813206
My plan already includes mobile data, I just don't use it because I've always preferred a long lasting battery but I guess I can carry one of those portable chargers when innawoods if I decide to go through with it.
>>
>>813206
You got skinwalkered son! Forty keks

Lelelelele meme power!x!:-*!!
>>
>>813217
you'd need another battery or some way to charge it regardless, gps + data + having the screen on so much sucks power
>>
>>812747
I miss being able to off lease my dog on the local trails. I'd reliably not meet anyone once the snow started to fall. But not it's all small children and drunk fishermen.
>>
>Never use trails

>>812751
Man, I just looked this up now. Grim shit.
>>
>>813257
Yeah, unless you fuck up your ankle in deep snow, winter is the best time to hike. Love it here in the mid-Atlantic.

While you were /out/ camping, /r9k/ took over the board. It's quite annoying but they seem to be the majority now.
>>
>>813531

>>
>>813191
there's already been cases of niggies robbing people with it.
>>
>>812729
just get a phone jammer and put it in a near by bush, so that normies can't catch Pokemon near you

Some faggot was walking near the fence on my property and I assumed he was either playing that shit or wanting to steal something so I went outside with my rifle and yelled at him to fuck off.

I'm cringing hard at these people. They take pride in going outside, but it aint for the sweetness of nature, no, it's for muh pokehmun. To them the outside is a playground for their autism.
>>
>>812729
There isn't any pokemon or pokestop in the countryside. Just go /out/ far enough from the city and you'll be fine

I dont care!
Currently we are preparing our pokemon for a 3 day Journey through germanys deepest woods, "Harz". I have packed 2 replacement batterys for my 7" 3g Tablet and a second 10.000mah battery is in the may. In case of emergency I carry a solar panel.

We sleep like real trainers, catch rare pokemon and I in particular will have faggot sex too

It'll be a fantasy come true

>pic related
>>
>>812729
>So are you upset that these normies are ruining your expeditions?

No, that is autistic as fuck. It's a good thing they're getting off the couch.
>>
Chads trying to pickup girls over a pokemon app and "gamer girls XD" that won't shut up about it has made me hate pokemon forever
>>
I apparently live within 100 yards of 5 Pokemon stops so there's all these retards always doing it outside my house. I'm a somewhat intimidating looking guy, when I'm outside working on something and see someone doing it I've been yelling HEY like I'm going to tell them to get the fuck off my property, then saying "you catching pokeymans?" Everyone so far has laughed nervously and nodded then started walking faster down the street but it's been amusing for me.
>>
We spend the majority of our lives immersed within spectacles. If this extension of the spectacle accidentally gets a few people to appreciate the greater-than-human world & allows them to slowly limit their addiction to screens, then good on them. The realist in me is just telling me that this is only the logical step towards VR-headset wearing cyborgs foolishly bumbling around the sidewalks in a decade or so, but hey, gotta keep up the idiotic hope that some people will disconnect themselves.
>>
>>814287
>If this extension of the spectacle accidentally gets a few people to appreciate the greater-than-human world & allows them to slowly limit their addiction to screens, then good on them

Basically what I was thinking. More people enjoy the great /out/doors means there are more people to support nature related activities. It's good to have backup.
>>
It is brilliant and will be another chapter to put in textbooks.
It gets kids outside and who knows, maybe one or two will become self aware.
Besides, autists hate loud noises and the woods tend to be pretty quiet. This could raise a new generation of socially inept biologist park service employees.

Most of the ones who play it now may be fags, but in two months it will be played only by those for whom the outdoors can do the most good.

>>
>>812729
There aren't many pokestops innawoods. So you've just got to wait then out and they'll run out off supplies
And if you get far enough into the wild there's no 4g so you'll be good.
>>
>>814596
It does suck for me because I don't have a car for the next couple weeks so I can only go /out/ close to the city. Oh well, of you can't beat em, join em.

>>
>>814175
I played the game for five minutes, looked stupid as shit. But, this sounds really fun, minus the bumfucking. The majority of people aren't going to do this and it just adds another layer to a hike.

However, personally, I like leaving all my tech at home as to not ruin the peace nature offers.

>>
I still don't know why they didn't just make it like normal Pokemon, but with walking in real world instead of game world. Can't even battle other trainers. Game is shit.
>>
>>815657
What I mean by this is areas with random encounter rate, where you must be moving between a min and max speed (max to prevent car shenanigans) to have a chance at a random encounter, fights between trainers that occur when you are within range and occur unless both trainers decline, items get placed randomly and can only see them when within a certain distance. Gyms could be like what they have now, I dunno. Only reason they didn't do this was laziness since it's much easier to slap a Pokemon coat of paint on an old product.
>>
>>812729
Good thing I live in a country with nonexistent data plans.
>>
>>812729
No pokestops and reliable cell coverage would discourage most pokemon trainers from anything more wooded than city parks.

Now here's a fun story about hipsters invading forests:
>Local PETA groups invade forests during deer season
>Banging pots and pans and blasting radio
>Drove hundreds of deer right to hunters
>90% of hunters had bag limits by 9 am
>>
>>812729
I had no fucking clue about it and was nearly hitting people on the fucking HIGHWAY. I live in a real BFE area and you like never see anyone on the highway at fucking 11am just walking around. There was like 50 people walking around on the highway and the roads all of them with cellphones held up. And that was just 30 mins of driving. I thought it was some weird ass moon phase or holiday I didn't know about or local festival everyone decided to walk to.

I've already had 3 people traipse through my field and another two looking like they wanted to get into my 6' high fenced in area. All had cellphones walking around like they were glued to them.

I never confirmed it, but it seems to be people playing that game.
>>
>>814603
>But, this sounds really fun, minus the bumfucking. The majority of people aren't going to do this and it just adds another layer to a hike.

I disagree. A lot of /out/ists like bumfucking when on the trail.

http://www.scarymommy.com/teen-pokemon-go-highway-accident/

As popularity spreads for Pokémon Go, the count for traffic accidents related to the game goes up as drivers and pedestrians try to catch ’em all.

A 15-year-old girl was playing the game and crossed an intersection about 20 miles outside of Pittsburgh when she was hit by a vehicle. Autumn Deiseroth blames Pokémon Go for the crash. “To where it is set up, we have to cross roads to go get it,” the teen told WTAE. “I do blame it.”
