Was living on state land in washington. Been here for a few weeks with this set up. Forest service and a sheriff rolled up on me. Told me to leave or be ticketed then arrested. Can they arrest me for being on state land for a long term camp? I'm firefighting and trying to live cheap.

Thanks sc/out/s. Pls no bully.

there is a limited time you can stay on state or blm land, i think it is 30 days however state land may be closer to 20
>>
In Michigan you just have to move your campsite an appreciable distance (like a half mile or so) after 3 weeks, idk how it works in WA though

Dunno about the laws in Washington but in most places you're best bet is to get your own plot of land
Or relocate every week or so

Depends on how long, "a few weeks" is vague. How long anon, because in a few places you can stay more than A week.

Why are you asking us? Get familiar with the law of the land. Call the administrators of the state land and ask specifically what the regulations are.

I know this is absolutely no help to you, but in BC, you can only camp in one spot on crown land for 14 days before you have to move.
>>
>cool
>>
>move camp every 2 weeks
>never see leos

Youre stupid OP youre gonna get burned alive

NF land in WA is 16 days. After that, you have to move at least five miles away. Not sure what you mean by "state land."

I would just move weekly around the area, coming back to each area every third or fourth week on rotation. Or if you keep your camp clean, most forestry guys are cool about it anyway, you probably fucked up.

I got a ticket for taking up residence in a state park in Colorado, where I think the limit is 60 days but I'm not sure about that, I haven't pulled that shit in years
