You guys have any tips for buying a compass and a compact binoculars?
I am looking for something cheap but simple and reliable.

i recommend buying a cheap throwaway pair.
no point getting too compact imo theres plenty of decent mid size pairs that are easily portable with the right harness or chest rig.
i use a pair of vortex diamondbacks, which was my second pair after i needed more than a 20$ throwaway. definitely not cheap.
compass i dont use much but when i do its a mil-spec cammenga. the transparent types are better in every single facet except durability however.
amazon should have all that stuff in every price range, just read reviews.

Buy once, cry once in my opinion. Love my vortex gear, and their warranty.
Bushnell for cheap high quality import

Vortex value better than Bushnell IMO

Nikon Monarch 7s are pretty nice. Not terribly expensive, quite compact (depending on which size obviously I have the 8x30 and find them ideal for general purpose while being comfortable to carry around) and high quality optics with a wide field.
Compass, no idea. I have a shitty little one on a bottle opener carabiner, and I have a couple of bruntons (pocket transits for geology shit) but those are over kill if you only need a compass.
A compass is fucking useless. Just look at tree moss or the stars you fucking retard.

depending on your need you should consider getting a monocular

Just row until you find a tree. Jeez. It's not rocket surgery. All water leads to land eventually.

Just look what side of the wave the algae is growing on. How dense can you be.

What does it say about me that I assumed he was drinking something from the thumbnail?

Is there a gun show coming up near you?
If so, odds are there will be several dealers with both for decent prices.

Dumbest shit I've seen on out in a while.
Clouds? Derp.
Moss always growing on the same side? Derp.

Get a cammenga, or similar. Not only does it feel more high quality, but the difference between a 5 dollar and 50 dollar cump ass is the accuracy. 4-5 degrees adds up over a few kilometers fast.
Clear compasses break easily, but are lightweight as fuck. Why not a gps op?
