I'm in Colorado, want to go backpacking this weekend. But I don't want to worry about camping on snow or even wearing yaktrax while hiking. Is there anywhere to find out where there's still snow? Is there any general information regarding when elevations at 10,000 feet are clear of snow?

It depends.
Is there an organization that does trail maintenance in the area? Try contact them.
Otherwise, most people rely on trail/trip reports from other outists, usually on stuff like clubtread or summitpost.
Considering it snowed over 10k less than a week ago im gonna say theres still snow

you can find info here.
I'm in Leadville.
we still have snow blocking everything above 11k. Snow patches in the shade between 10.5k and 11. Some roads in that range are still blocked.
below 10k it's almost entirely clear. Things are melting fast though.

Call a ranger station; that's what they're for.

10k is clear of snow about a month after the last heavy snow, in general.

we've been getting snow daily at 10k. It's not sticking though. Yeah, I guess it's been almost a month since our last good dump.

As long as the temp in the area does not drop to a consistent freezing temp between snowing episodes, chances are it will not stick. However I'd be carrying the yaktrax if I were you because it will be muddy and slipery for sure. Also gaiters.
Checked the snotels?
That's what they're for.
