I'm looking for a good pair of night vision gogles that aren't too pricey. Any ideas?
Just wear an eye patch. After a month or so you basically have night vision.

I'd prefer something that wouldn't be temporary senpai

You got to get sent to a slam, where they tell you you'll never see daylight again. You dig up a doctor, and you pay him 20 menthol Kools to do a surgical shine job on your eyeballs.

I'd put that sucker on a stick and grill it.

Only option you have is the armasight spark. It has something similar to gen 2 for around $500. Apex had used gen 2 atn monocles for the same price but sold out. You really get what you pay for with nods. Check ebay and be prepared to spend over a grand for "decent" quality.

I'm getting this soon. Will do boxing and stuff in this thread when it arrives. It's the same unit branded as Hawke NV 1000 or something for allot les.
The main selling point for me was recorder and price. You can also put a torch mount on weaver rail for another IR/UV torch. Also tripod and weaver mountable for gun owners.
The coolest thing about nvgs is looking at the stars.
Out of curiosity, what do you use night vision goggles for? Any specific uses or are they just fun to mess around with

>take out blck filter which blocks IR light
>assemble
>place in a dark place
>turn on some IR diodes
>voila
Seriously, if you don't need it for your own viewing pleasure, but for taking pics and video, look at DIY NVG on instructables.
I got an old Russian army surplus from the 90s
. Its cheap. US200. But rather heavy.
