Ok guys, I'm in a market for bivvies/hammocks. And I saw this on the kickstarter.
Now I know kickstarter has a long history of not delivering, but they promise a 1.2kg hammock that can turn into a bivvy. That's as little as Snugpak Ionosphere. Opinions?

(and yes, I think that the poncho is most likely just a silly gimmick)

Looks like shit

Would seriously consider buying, but it's a kickstarter so probably won't happen.
The number one thing I look for in kickstarters is the bios / qualifications of the management team.

Honestly, I'd go with the tried and true method- get an ENO sub 7, sew tyvek layer on for insulation and get some netting if you want to bivvy

>kickstarter.
into the trash it goes.
god buy something that actually exist and is proven track record of performing as it should
>kickstarter shit
Remember EARL?
https://www.meetearl.com/
There used to be /OUT/ threadS about it occasionally back when.
this thing would be cool as shit and for $300 seems fair but,..... but,... it was like 5+ years ago they started this shit. no deliveries yet.

Holy fuck that thing promises an INSANE amount of features. It's just stupid to think that anyone could so easily produce something like this.
This is exactly the kind of shit that rings infinite warning bells as you read through it. When was the kickstarter originally put up?

so a tent hammock?
literally nothing new?

>When was the kickstarter originally put up?
i remember it from at least 3 years ago when we first heard of it and had threads about it.
Yes all its features would be awesome.
But I thought it was supposed to be a handheld device about the size of an iphone. looking at the website now, the damn things looks like it's turned into an 8"x10" tablet
