What's the strangest thing you've encountered while /out/? I was hiking in NM and saw a giant migration of these things.
>>
I saw a gay nigger in the woods once
I set his balls on fire

I've seen a swarm of hundreds of buzzards. Found porn in some remote places as well.

When I was like 8 years old my friend and I would congregate in this old shack in the woods behind our house. One day we stumbled upon two teenager dudes who had playboy magazines and offered to give them to us if we let them smoke weed in our clubhouse. At the end of the day we would just bury the magazines under some dirt then dig them back up the next day. Then after a couple of weeks of doing this we walked in and saw one of the guys blowing the either. We noped out of there and never returned.
>>
>>708744
I had a 21st century experience of forest porn, instead of playboys I found diaper fetish porn on a dvd.
>>

> this is why kids are so fucked up

You need to find Jesus, STAT!
I pray for you!
>>
>>708792
Nah, that's nothing compared to what 8 year olds can stumble across on the internet nowadays.
>>
>>708794
Got it.

Rabid animals. For fucks sake, I hope to die of old age before dealing with that shit again.
>>
Found an old rusted tin box. Was hoping for some Civil War winrar but it was nothing but early 20th century fishing tackle.

Self-harm is nothing to joke about, anon. Instead of trying to change how you feel by replacing your emotional pain with physical pain, you should identify and manage underlying issues that trigger your self-injuring behavior.
>>
>>708755
Woods or hobo porn is quite common to stumble upon.

I saw about 10-15 Great Blue Herons, aka Cranes, in a circle all facing the center and not moving. Like they were having a meeting or some shit.
>>
>>708936

Herons and cranes are different birds.
>>
>>708948
I added the crane caveat for people who might not be familiar with what a heron is. The difference is insignificant and so is your post.
>>
>>708906
Huh? The fuck are you talking about?
>>
I guess it isn't really "strange" since it's all a part of nature, but I've found some cool shit while beach hiking in Washington. Like a dead seal with its face eaten off, or a stretch of beach carpeted in crab shells.
>>
>>708936
The crow family do this, they have meeting, a parliament, to decide the next leader of the group.
>>
>>708951
>The difference is insignificant
No it isn't. they aren't even closely related. Your post is pig ignorant and so are you.
>>
>>708936
Once saw the biggest giant blue heron, fucked was chilling by a small Creek and I came off the trail about 2 feet from it.
Flap flap, holy shit those things are huge.
Also walked up a fenced area filled with emu once. Cool birds.

Did a road trip recently, slept in my car. Pulled off the highway in the middle of nowhere and found a car track into the bush. Half way in I stopped, thinking it was far enough. After dinner I walked the rest of the trail just out of curiosity. Trail ended in a cleared area with old mattresses, condom packets, empty beer bottles everywhere. Didn't bother me too much as I felt safe locking myself in the car, but still a bit creepy. Next morning I got up for a piss and found a loaded crack pipe near my car.

Mine was a giant migration of sea lamprey in the river behind my house. It as February I think, or some pre-spring super cold month. There was 1,000s and 1,000s of them swimming up stream. This was in the 1990s. I never saw them before and never saw them ever again. All of them were about 6 inches in length. It was an amazing sight in the shallow section. I caught a few and had the local wildlife management guys ID them. They didn't believe me on the phone, but then I brought a jar of them in that were still alive and they believed me, sorta. They thought I bought them. Well, they are no-nothing hillbilllies, so fuck'em.

The thing is, I live about 400 miles from the ocean, as the crow flies.

Once my wife and I were in Puerto Rico, and we hiked down this cliff to the Ocean and there thousands and thousands of Hermit Crabs all over the cliff. You had to scoot them off every step you took to keep from crushing them. The air was filled with sound of their crawling over the detritus on the ground pretty amazing sight.

once while hiking in West Virginia, my wife and I saw a giant blue and white woodpecker with a red head, colored just like woody woodpecker, only a LOT fucking bigger. It was screeching as it flew overhead. We stood there and watched it as it continue to scream at us and fly over us repeatedly.

do they attack people? did they attack you?
>>
>>708999
Looks like either a peculiar change in wave patterns beached crabs to death, or a ton of birds were congregating there. Any signs of feathers/birdshit?

Personally, found human bones in the deep swamp. Didn't touch them much, and turned in the location. This was before smartphones so sadly I have no pics.
>>
>>709069
I smoked weed with a bum that lived in the woods behind the local Kroger. Cool dude, too bad he was batshit.
>>
>>709229
It's amazing how dumb wildlife management can be sometimes.
A few years ago They closed the gate to my local lake DAM because they needed to replace the last gate that the water went through. The river drained down to only a few pools and a small stream where the main channel ran. Wildlife management was out with bucket collecting fish that got stuck in the grass or in pools too small and releasing them in larger pools. They had a bucket full of redbreast sunfish they showed me and the guy claimed they were crappie.

I don't know where they hire these people but they need to stop.
>>
>>712035
They don't get hired for what they know. They get hired for their ability to do what they are told to do.
