I like getting drunk, and I like hiking, and I often get drunk after doing a lot of hiking (because whiskey is a muscle relaxant), but you can only do one or the other properly at any given time. Drinking while doing anything active makes both activities less enjoyable.

I usually bring a water bottle of bourbon. Take a shwig every few minutes. Anytime I get drunk, even if I'm just hangin with some buddies, I always wanna go innawoods. I don't like smoking anymore while hiking, I get paranoid for whatever reason. But catching a good buzz while hiking and then gradually turning that into a happy drunk and just feeling and enjoying nature is one of the greatest feelings ever. Having a nice little fire, cooking a quick meal, and drinking and listening to the crackle of the fire and birds chirping is amazing. Going outta town and traveling for a couple months, can't wait to hike some new trails and explore.

When I go /out/ I usually smoke a bowl after my morning coffee, hike a few miles, then make breakfast and smoke another. When camp's made and the sun starts to set I break out a flask of whiskey, mostly to calm the nerves (still a little anxious about going solo) and help me get to sleep, but I never drink while I'm on the move.

my knee got fucked out of my own stupidity i got cartilage erosion from overdoing hiking especially downhill with bag.
lifting weight fixed it up pretty good maybe you can try it. i did a bit of ss training 3x5s and it doesn't hurt anymore got full range of motion back good as new.

I'm thinking of the flats of 4-4.5% mass market American lager in cans that I never liked, and stopped drinking when I turned 19 and could buy my own microbrew ale in bottles. after you use it, you rinse it out with water. then you fill it up with water and less than a tsp of bleach. let it sit over night and rinse it out again. now its sterile and ready for more beer.

Seriously? Probably the worst mass-produced generic heavy beer Belgium has to offer. Look into the smaller breweries for actually good stuff.

While /out/ I personally stick to spirits - doesn't taste as foul when not cold, and lower weight. I do drink slowly, and usually not while walking.
