I live in Denver too, learn to keep warm in the snow and camping becomes more enjoyable, at least for me.

Come to Florida. Winter skipped us this year.

>inb4 Florida never has a winter

But seriously, it's 82 degrees outside right now. Which is low compared to what it's been.

Is there anywhere I can camp on the beach and launch a kayak for fishing?
I have always heard there is very little coastal dispersed camping out east

Mexico.

Well I don't know of any easily accessible but there are beaches that aren't accessible by road or sometimes land. But that doesn't mean camping there is legal.

Examples: there are isles in the middle of the Indian river lagoon that people have been known to set up shop on. I've never head of anyone getting in trouble for doing it because even if you set the damn thing on fire, it can't go anywhere.

Other option is to hit a beach and keep walking. Playalinda beach is just north of KSC, and it's gov't protected, but its open visitors. I think if you were to head north from there you could probably get away with it. Klondike beach (north of playalinda) is considered a "back country" area, so I doubt too many people traverse it.

I doubt it's 100% legal but there are places out here you could get "lost" if you know where to look.

You like stargazing? Big Bend National Park is the GOAT. And the parts that aren't plain desert are pretty in the winter.
>>
>>648529
I have been really thinking about Big Bend.
Is there fishing?
What is there to do there?

You can fish in the Rio Grande. If you have a passport you can raft it. Tons of hiking, beautiful scenery, lots of interesting geology if you're into that sort of thing. It's one of the darkest places on the planet at night, which is why I mentioned stargazing. Take a telescope and be amazed at the universe in which we live. There is also a very large Texas state park adjacent to BBNP. You can go there and get a few days worth of guided trip on horseback if you're so inclined.

>this cave formation is in BBNP
