Can anyone recommend me a parka like this that is fashionable but still rugged enough for /out/door activities?

nice samefag, get off this board kiddo
Best bet is to look for a Redfield jacket that resident evil used that was either American eagle or some other strange brand like that. It's about 5 years old so it will be cheap if you find it and it will be a great jacket.

Canada Goose. But it's probably too warm for any level of exertion if you aren't stationed in Antarctica, and nobody cares what you look like in the winter, so just get something cheap and adequate.

Is canada goose really worth its price? are there valid alternatives?
>>607819
are the fjallraven parkas unsuitable?
Why wouldn't you buy that Fjällraven? I have same on olive green color. Durable, can be used on city or woods and price tag ain't antthing like canada goose.

yes it is, but there are equal alternatives

I was in a bag financial situation a few years back and it was coming up to winter, I didn't have a good coat for the weather and where I live it can easily get down to -20 in a normal winter and much worse in an exceptional one, I'd tried the old layering trick in the past and it does work but it's a pain in the ass to put on and take off all that shit, I happened to be walking near a place that sold work wear and saw a high visibility parka that was very cheap, I went in and checked it out, it was very strong and the padding was thick, I had just enough money to buy it, it was a great parka although your never going to blend into the background wearing, the second year before it got to winter I bought a couple of tins of black spray paint and sprayed it all over so now it's nice and black.
You could also try looking on Ebay or Craigslist for good used gear, check thrift stores and Facebook will often has items for sale in your local area if you check the group listings.
Good luck anon, being cold sucks ass and it suppresses you immune system making you more likely to fall ill

Who needs Fashionable when you're innawoods.
Nothing wrong with wanting a "fashionable" coat. I like outerwear that works when I'm innawoods, but I can also wear out and about town without looking like a Vietnam vet with PTSD in some surplus parka, or AL Borland in a flannel jacket.
Carhartt makes durable outerwear. Their coats are very popular for the working man. More and more, Carhartt is becoming an "it" brand, and making more fashion related items. Unlike The North Face who have a large amount of strictly fashionwear, Carhartt's updated fashion centric clothing really does seem to still be great quality and durable.
Check out some of their stuff.

>Size M
Manlet detected.
If the sleeves on a M are long enough for you, you're not a Man, you're a lady that has a penis.

North Face used to be the shit but now all I see are ni**ers wearing them, also a couple of people I know have been mugged for their north face jackets by urban youths

Have you checked Paramount's wardrobe department?

Generally you want to avoid breathing inside your clothes when its cold. Breath carries moisture, and if you breathe inside a waterproofed jacket it will get moist quite fast. And you don´t want wet clothes when its cold.
If you need a face cover it should be something seperate. Maybe its a good idea with some star trek super technology in the future, but right now its stupid. Not even with goretex or shit like that.
