Sup /out/. I recently learned there's a 2 1/2 mile cave near me, but I'm a complete newfag to exploring caves. It's called Equality Cave, located in Shawnee. Any advice for exploring it? I was planning on purchasing a head lamp and bringing two back up lights and glow sticks if I really get fucked. Food and water for a couple days and some rope. Any advice on cave exploring, or personal experience with this one?
I'll post some pics of Shawnee I've taken, been there about fifteen twenty times. If anyone has questions regarding Shawnee I'd be glad to try and help, it's a nice park to explore. First pic is from Rim Rock, a neat place to explore and climb some. This is a crack in the rock that leads down a path.

Are you a half-black, half-Hispanic, transgendered, handicapped, woman with PTSD? No? Then don't bother.
Well boys looks like it's closed off from what little I can find googling. Dream is killed.

Exploring caves by yourself is setting yourself up for a Darwin award, unless you are just going through less dangerous parts.
Do whatever floats your boat though.
