Solar chargers for back packs. What are some good options?
I am looking at going to watch the solar eclipse so I may aswell make a weekend out of it.

Just get a battery pack

This, no point in getting a solar charger unless you plan on isolating yourself from society for a week or longer
You don't need a phone innawoods. Stop being a bitch.

Why not? Mine has offline maps in it and GPS so I can see where I am, and record my trails. (And see distance, speed, and whatnot)
>>1075084
Stop being a dumbass. Why wouldn't you want another navigational aid? There's more to the outdoors than bushsurvivalmemeing
>>1075132
I'd have both a compass/map and a phone/gps, dumbass. Having more means to navigate is smart. Not American either.

Timestamp a photo of your compass you millenial bitch. You have a phone, no doubt you can do it

>You don't need a phone innawoods.
indeed. today we use micro computers.

Not american.
I have a compass too, it's always with me. I don't usually carry the monocular, though have one. I find it rather useless. Binoculars are more useful.
I like to mark my path to a map and mark points of interest (like: running water/spring, ancient glacial seashore, good place for tent). This is harder to do with a paper (tyvek) map, but could be done, why not.
And I have the map with me too, usually. I use tyvek maps so rain/water and some wear and tear mean nothing.

Here u go

Welp. I'm sorry I doubted you.

Everyone seems insistent on giving alternative advice without touching the only question you even asked. To answer your question, Anker makes solid solar chargers and battery packs. I have an Anker charger myself, it's breddy gud.
>>1075047
Why??? It won't work during an eclipse
>>1075084
>not taking your electronic multi-tool inawoods
dont be so try hard mate, its literally one of the best items you can pack

>Solar chargers for back packs.
I'm not sure, my backpacks don't use electricity.
Ankers are nice. But to be honest, I just use a 10,000 mAH battery pack. It's light, and if I keep my phone in airplane mode most of the time I can use it to keep my phone charged for days, even if I'm using the speakers to listen to music.

It's not even "innawoods". Hopkinsville (the town highlighted in OP's pic) is smack in the middle of east Kentucky farm country.
I live in Clarksville and this whole thing is a clusterfuck. They're expecting tens of thousands of people. In Hopkinsville people are trying to rent out rooms for insane money because there's basically no lodging up there.
