What's /out/'s take on Henry David Thoreau?
I'm maybe halfway through reading Walden and so far, I'm a bit bemused about it's supposed totemic status with anarchists. The naivety of Thoreau really shines through but at it's core you can tell he held beliefs around solitude and misanthropy that should resonate with many here.
Turns out someone actually made a video game based around Walden. About as unlikely a video game as can be imagined.
I know the general feeling about vidya here, so doubt anyone's played it. Anyone?
Cosy
Game is here: https://gameinnovationlab.itch.io/walden
Bought it, played it. Kinda comfy, but no idea if there's an actually point to it. I guess that's the point?
It's relatively well made, but no HUD is annoying af.

Still lived in a shitshack for 2 years.
Getting his laundry done by his mum makes Thoreau the proto-neet.

He got that from Civil Disobedience, not Walden.
