Hey /out/, Oregon here and I'm making plans for the solar eclipse next month. Does anyone have any recommendations on eclipse viewing glasses, or are they pretty much all the same?
I was at some touristy shop on the coast a few days ago and bought a tshirt that came with a cheap cardboard pair and I can comfortably stare at the sun with those, and I wonder if that's good enough?
Do you guys have any recommendations?
I debated whether this might be better posted on /sci/ but figured I'd try here first. Checked the catalog and didn't see anyone talking about the eclipse either, so eclipse thread?

You want ones that block UV too or your eyes will be wide open for massive UV flux while you shade the visible light
