I'm a noob when it comes to /out/ stuff.
How do I SAFELY make a fire?
I mean, I know I need to collect branches, and i can use matches or a lighter to start the fire, then the fire needs air, etc.
But I mean: how do i set up my firespot so i don't accidently burn down the whole area?
My friend says you need to dig a hole and start the fire in there, but i've looked at Youtube and Instagram and people never seem to do that.
to a fire from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Thank you.
You are right, if i burn down the whole area, it doesn't really matter as long as it can't be traced back to me

Sort of depends on how dry the area is. Just use your judgement, unless your judgement is shit.

Youtube and Instagram people are largely attention whores
>dig a hole
yes, a small pit is one way to go....at minimum, clear everything several feet away from the fire down to dirt
and for goodness sake, properly put out and cover when done

Is dirt good to cover it?
