dear /out/, all the videos and guides on how to start a fire "without" any equipment i watched, involved someone using matches, a magnesium firestarter or steelwool and a battery
so i ask you, is there a good way to start a fire with *nothing* but pieces of wood and your bare hands?
bow drill, if you have string, if not, hand drill. if you can find something like iron pyrite and flint you can use that to spark fluffed up ceder bark

If you have access to a rock or bone you can easily make a fire plough, but you can make one even without those things.

It is easier to use than a hand drill (hurts less too!)

Good? No.
Doable, with effort+practice+luck? Yes.

Stand on top of a mountain with a stick and wait for it to rain

There is no good way, only the only way, which is hard, time consuming, and an overally pain in the ass.
Some people take pride in knowing how to do it, but firecrafting evolved for a reason. I'd carry flint and steel at a minimum, usually i just carry bics for short trips

Literally hundreds of videos about bow drills.
Fucking primitive tech always starts his fires with two sticks.
Wtf were u watching? Some shit?
