Where do you leave your vehicle when living in the wilderness for extended periods?
Say I wanted to disappear for awhile (+6mo.) in a forest that's a 6hr drive from where I am now. I could sell the truck when I arrive, but it has sentimental value so I'd rather keep it.
Pay someone to leave it in their yard or better, garage.
I'll take it off your hands OP. How does it run?

Hitch a ride there

Leave your truck at home, ask a friend to give you a ride in exchange for money or take the bus

In the driveway where it always is. My backyard is a wilderness. I can hike for miles without seeing/hearing any sign of humans.

leave your car, wallet, phone, keys, every thing at home. Make sure not to tell any one you're going, just vanish.

You can always rent a container or a storage room if you have a lot of stuff to leave behind. And as other anons mentionned, you should get near your spot with a bus, or anything that won't leave traces.
>6 months
Leave it with somebody who will use it once a month. It's not good for cars to just sit for long periods of time.

put it in storage unit that you don't regularly see/hear about auctioning off units/ripping people off. Pay for your period of time out plus a couple months for safety/delays. Get a battery maintainer, attach to your vehicles battery and if you can attach a wireless camera to your vehicle that records online so you know who is messing with your unit/stealing/etc your vehicle when you are gone. If money no object, parking garage and rent out good lighting area with camera corner, payup and park.
