this weekend's mellow for me, but next weekend i will be in the middle of a 5 day backpacking trip through the sierra at roughly 11,500'. gonna be a shitload of white.

Im coming from Chicago. I rarely ever see mountains. Its so damn flat here. Also no national parks. Only some small state forests.

Anxiously checking the weather forecast for the weekend every day, and making about 3 new plans every time it changes…

Climbing and Swimming in Croatia (probs crowded, but I miss the the sea, weather will probably be stable)
Checking out some remote Karst plateau that seems to be really remote (no alpine club huts in 5x5km grind that's very rare for Austria), but I don't want to sit through a thunderstorm in the middle of a plateau)

I was going to go camping in this local park that I've been to many times before. I show up and go to fill out the check-in sheet and they're all gone. In their place is a big sign saying that all overnighters must display their reservations on their dashboards and that reservations could be made and paid for at their main office, which was about 45 minutes away.
So I guess I'm just going to sit around and shitpost on my one day off.

I'm going hiking at Grant's Grove in Kings Canyon/Sequoia NP. Gonna do 1-2 5 miles long trails.
