how /out/ approved is the czech republic?
I'm passing by there a couple of days during the summer, maybe get a 3-4-day hike in. Willl be having tent and such.
Would be cool if the locals could point me to some routes.
I've tried searching interwebs plenty of times, but there does not seem to be alot of info about the outdoors in this country, nor is the language making it any easier for me.
Thanks!
Illegal outside camping grounds (even in parking lots)

I'm retarded. I meant camping is. Trekking should be fine. Not sure about great spots/routes sine I'm not a local. Prague is beautiful+inexpensive beer

Prague is already on the list for sure. I kind of figured out already that wild camping is illegal. Im fine with paying die a night at a campsite.
Thanks for the reply!

Wild camping is technically illegal, but unless you act very stupid, nobody cares. It's kind of a national sport actually.
Any plans yet where you want to go, i probably can point out some nice places nearby.

Yea the language is brutal I studied there for a semester. Tbh just chill in the cities and drink beer. But I do know the northern territory in Moravia is known for good outdoors, look into that.
Na draźi means cheers there. It is pronounced, Nah-stdravi , try to roll that d my man

Prague is definately on the list, maybe Pilsen. I like to have some change between culture and outdoors in my trips
not /out/ related, but try Kofola, thank me later.
It's only for sale in like 4 countries.
there is a downside though, every soft drink tastes like shit after Kofola

Cool, thanks for the tip!
I live in Brno CZ, and I approve the country for /out/. Actually, the infrastructure of hiking/biking trails is very good (better than HU, SK). I recommend checking out mapy.cz - you can find all the official hiking trails. (Top left corner - click 'zmenit mapu', then select 'turisticka' - biking trails are purple, hiking trails yellow, green, red, blue).
I did some illegal wild camping as well, basically what >>1016647 says is true. I hiked most of the time in Moravia, and I want to explore more places in the future, I heard Krkonose, Valassko, Jeseniky, Sumava are great.
Polishfag who lives near Czech border here. AMA about trains or places to visit (green mountains pic rel).
