The greatest /out/ country in the world is China. There's no denying it. You can go on any land since there is no land ownership, no billy bob joes with guns, and pure nature goodness.
End yourself, commie.

*wheezing*
The air bro
Seriously, though, how is China for /out/ activities?
>>1015925
One shit is for sure, it has lots of variety and sweet places I think.

I'm pretty sure the rainwater is 98% sulfuric acid and 2% evaporated sweat from billions of people. The mountains are beautiful but poor as fuck.
Or just go to Mongolia, avoid the commies kidnapping you for not wearing the correct color socks in front of a portrait of Chairman Mao, and meet the ridiculously friendly locals, who won't murder you for your kidneys and watch.

I can confirm, been /out/ in both China and Mongolia.
China can be beautiful if you go off the beaten path but you will get dirty looks from locals pretty much everywhere.
Mongolia is an outdoor paradise, also possible to go off the beaten track and the locals are hospitable to an extremely high degree.

Communism is great for hiking. That's why the best trails are in North Korea and Cuba.

China has issues with particulates and NOx AFAIK.
Traveled there a while ago for work and definitely wouldn't want to be there any longer than needed. I'm not sure what the west/mountainous regions are like, but the smog in Beijing was so bad that walking around the airport felt like you were in a habitation pod on some uninhabitable planet from scifi. You could stare directly at the sun without problems most days due to the smog and it was like in every city I saw and the trains between.
China is an environmental disaster and it seems like they are only now beginning to take some steps to improve air quality.

Any specific recommendations? I'm moving to China in a couple of months. I've heard tell that Chinese don't understand it and if the cops see you camping wild they'll "accompany" you to the nearest hotel. Anything i need to be careful of (esp wildlife-wise)?
