No cooler thread. Thinking about getting an Rtic cooler. New line rolled out yesterday. only $175 which beats the hell out of a Yeti, only problem is there's still only a 30 day warranty.
Anyone have any experience with the coolers?

1: go to yard sale/garage sale/thrift shop/salvation army store
2: find a 100 quart to 200 quart cooler for $10
3: buy said cooler
4: go outside
5: use cooler for cooler purposes
6: spend remaining $165 on cheap hookers and blow

It must suck to be so poor.

>he thinks wealthy people waste their money
It must suck to live off your parents.
>>1008321
>buying one quality item that lasts 20+ years is wasting money vs buying 5 or more cheaper variants over same time period
Not to mention less ice used over those 20 years
It must suck to not understand the time value of money.
>>1008324
>he thinks coolers dont last for over a million years
Do you know what plastic is bud?
Because you're spending 10000x the market value for plastic
>>1008324
It must suck when I lift your $400 cooler while your sleeping.
These kind of coolers are great for things like crawfish broils. They keep the food pretty hot for a while after being cooked. Way better than cheaper walmart coolers from my experience
>>1008330
id like to see you try, bud

I fling poo in your general direction without regard of consequence or respect.

Climb in the cooler.

>buying 5 or more cheaper variants
Uhhh, they all have the same durability. You only need to watch out for cheap plastic hinges which can be replaced with metal ones in like 2 mins. Most of my coolers are probably older than you are and none of my coolers are bought new.

You wouldn't see. You'd be asleep.
>>1008351
>they all have the same durability
no they dont you retard

Show that grizzly bear your receipt, he might feel bad for you and go to the next camp.

As someone who owns and has used tons of coolers. All of them get destroyed in the same manner at the same rate when faced with the same circumstances. Provided they are all made of the same materials (plastic.) I don't use metal ones (painted steel) because they rust. Only the stainless steel models out perform the plastic ones in durability, but people don't like scuffs and dents in their stainless steel even though it doesn't harm the cooler all that much.
>>1008358
>implying the smell of food can escape a hardened plastic cooler vs a cheaper plastic.
Believe it or not, there are different grades of plastic.
>>1008376
>he really thinks a plastic exists on this planet that prevents bears from accessing it or smelling it's contents
That's not how plastic, or scent works.
>if there is something in the forest:
>the deer heard it
>the eagle saw it
>and the bear smelled it
You chillunz need to read up on your Native Americanisms.
