>thick and stiff enough to be a good machette
Pick one and only one. That thing is meme-tier garbage.

I have the Junglas paired with a ESEE Candiru (attached it to bottom of junglas sheath). I put a clip at the bottom to wrap around the lower leg to stop it from swaying while walking.
I mean, its heavy, but you can beat the piss out of the Jungas and won't has to worry about it breaking.

A good quality sturdy kukri should be able to do most things you would need to do.
>>1002247
Personally where i live (Slovenia) there's not enough brush to justify carrying a real machete, i carry a hatchet most the time since it can process some larger firewood.
>>1002247
hatchet for temperate/arctic woods
junglass or something like it for hot areas
your pic is a weird compromise i have the gator version, the sawback actually works on that but the blade is weak shit only good for cutting grass. the blade profile is wrong for a machete the handle is wrong for a machete it's basically a very awkward saw of questionable quality.

pocket knife and a book
Bow saw will be really useful and simple to use, light to hang externally on your backpack. Personally I would add also a hatchet to build stakes structures on your camp site like table and benches

A good sized 2-3lb axe

Himalayan Imports are the only ones worth buying.
Everything else is either tourist junk, or semi-usable tourist junk.

A folding saw is my implement of destruction, but a hatchet will throw a spark if you find the right rock.
Enjoy your blisters. You wasted your money on pic related if it has a rubber handle.
>>1002267
actually the alternating teeth pocket saws are much thicker than any machete and they devour wood like crazy. not to mention the chainsaws which are rather thicc.

My backpack is a tool. I choose my backpack. It happens to be full of other tools. About 80lbs worth. No knife though, I don't need that in the woods. I already have an shovel in the backpack after all.

4. I carry a 15" tomahawk with a 5" cutting head. Works well as a cross between a hatchet and a machete without much weight.
>>1002854
Oh look its the
>"Muh 80 lbs worth of tools"
guy. Im still confused how you even get 80 lbs worth of tools, what are you carrying a fucking sewing machine on your back.
>>1002854
>80lbs of tools
M8 8lbs of cutting tools is already too much, all you need is a hatchet/ax, saw, knife and possibly a shovel.
>>1003313
He said he didn't need a knife since he already has a shovel.

1 chainsaw
1 chainsaw maintenance tool kid
1 spare chain
1 lubricant
1 bucking spike set
>>1003333
come to think of it that's still about 30-40lbs only. i guess you need to add a couple of felling axes sharpening sets, drills tools for trenching and a wheelbarrow.

my uncle used to work with a stihl 070 which is almost 20kg when full and used to carry it for 10 km in the mountain up and down
20 kg chainsaw
2 kg tools and chains
10 kg fuel
6 kg oil
5 kg of water
2 kg of food
3 kg axe
2 kg steel wedges
that's a total of 50 kg 110 lbs
my stihl 064 is 11.5 kg and with tools, fuel and oil it's a 20kg/44 lbs total and it's enough already
