help guys! i have 215/45/17 new tires fitted with 17 x 7.5J wheels, my friend wants to give me some 17x7J wheels will there be any fitment issue or should i avoid for proper size?
nah it's fucked m8

please don't mess with me, i'm too retarded to figure it out
7.5 Is too narrow, I run 215 tires in my Focus with 8 rims and it's just right.

but will it work with putting those tires on the 17x7j's or will there be premature wear on tires and shit

Tire size vary on brand but seems too narrow. Better be safe then sorry

You're fine my dude. On one vehicle I have 285s on 8 wides and on another 235s on 7 wides

Oh, but also you need to take into account the offset/backspacing of the wheels he's giving you as well as the width of course for fitment.
I assumed you were just talking about the rubber, in which case you'll be fine.

thanks, in most cases should one opt for no less than factory sized wheel? originally the car has 17.7.5's i feared the 17x7 wheels would be worse or cause extra wear on tires. Any insight on that?
Depends on offset

I'm honestly not sure about the wear, but I reckon it can't make too much of a difference. If you look up your tire on Tire Rack they'll have a chart with a range of recommended widths. Anything in that range will be fine, but you can usually even go outside that range.

offset is identical

thanks for the info!

It may look a little different as well if that's what you're concerned about. Sidewall will be angled in marginally more instead of more angled out and stretched, if that makes sense.
